Your A/C moves heat out of the cab using refrigerant, a compressor and a condenser in front of the radiator. It's a sealed system, so if it's low on refrigerant, it has a leak somewhere. We find the leak, fix it, and recharge the system to the right amount.
Signs it's time
- Air blows warm, or only a little cool
- A/C works some days and not others
- Clicking, rattling or squealing when the A/C turns on
- Windows are slow to defog
What we do
- Performance check: vent temperature and system pressures
- Leak detection
- Repair compressors, condensers, hoses, valves and seals
- Recharge to the factory amount of refrigerant
- Check the cooling fans and A/C controls
A recharge alone won't last if there's a leak — the new refrigerant just escapes. Finding the leak first saves you money. Run your A/C for a few minutes every month, even in winter, to keep the seals from drying out.
